Gemini holiday home has the feeling of "a home away from home". It is ideal for those seeking a few days of relaxation in quality accommodation within a private setting. Enjoy the tranquility and attractive environment of our property. We've made sure that all the must-haves that make a great break are on offer. Also close at hand, are the many top class attractions that Rotorua has to offer visitors, including gondola and luge rides, or the beautiful kiwi and trout sanctuary. Rotorua's town centre is only a ten minute drive so that you can visit the many restaurants, cafes and shops.
Well off the main road, Gemini holiday home is tucked in among native trees and well maintained gardens. Two other chalets are a hop, step and jump away if you are looking for group accommodation options however Gemini offers plenty of seclusion if you're a party on your own.
The holiday house has a fully functioning kitchen with all the mod cons, so that you can cook and entertain as if you were at home. To help you in the kitchen there is a oven with stove top, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge, coffee machine with capsules, tea-making gear and a good selection of cutlery and utensils. A barbeque is also available.
The living space is open plan with the kitchen opening into the lounge which has a 55 inch television from which you can access Netflix, NZ Sky TV and the internet. Wifi data costs are included in the tariff.
The laundry has a washing machine and dryer. Both bathrooms have showers with strong pressure and endless hot water!

- We have a large outdoor pool with a magical oasis of exotic and native New Zealand plants surrounding it. As a guest at Gemini you have access to enjoy this as well as a spa pool, gym, or grab our two kayaks for a paddle on the lake. There is no extra charge for any of these activities.
- We can organise a trout fishing charter for two to six people, or take you on a cruise in our own private pleasure boat from Lake Rotorua to Lake Rotoiti's hot pools, a special trip only accessible by boat. There will be extra costs for these tours.
- Plenty of secure parking on the property for car and trailer.

We (Joe and Cynthia, your hosts) love living in Rotorua and are on hand to ensure you have a great stay. With lots of experience travelling we understand what our guests top priorities are when being away from home. And, our children Daniel, Jacob and Samantha have enabled us, to ensure a stay with at Gemini holiday home is family friendly.
We respect all our visitors requests; if you want complete privacy please let us know, or if you want us to help you organise your holiday we are on hand to assist. We are a bilingual family communicating in English or Mandarin.
Without doubt, this is the best Airbnb in New Zealand!!! Words cannot start to explain Joe and Cynthias property. From the moment we sent Joe a message, their service and warm hospitality has been absolutely amazing. The property is a true getaway and absolutely perfect for families. It’s super clean and tidy with every single amenity you can imagine. It’s spacious and extremely well thought out, and still so close to all shops and attractions. If 6 or 7 stars was an option... Joe and Cynthia would be the first in line for them! We genuinely thank you again for all you have done for us, we absolutely will be back for sure!!!

Joe and family were outstanding hosts. Such lovely people, we felt like family. The accommodation was top notch at 100%, and Joe made our stay 110%. The cottage was clean, had all we need for our stay with little touches on top which made it even more amazing. Even though there were other properties on the grounds the cottage was very private and so comfortable. Our toddlers had lots of fun roaming the grounds. The amenities were amazing, pool was a beautiful place to spend your afternoon and when you want a change of scenery, the lakefront is 10m from the pool and spa! Joe’s boat trip is a must do. Excellent day out with local knowledge and best of all it’s all customised to our group. Joe was very accommodating to our toddler’s needs and that made out trip that much more enjoyable. Thank you for the outstanding stay!

We had an amazing stay! The property was absolutely perfect for what we were after for our family Christmas we didn’t even need to leave the property the pool, kayaks, playground, fire pit and massive concrete and grass areas were perfect for the kids to run free. The cottage was very comfortable and felt like home, fully equipped kitchen to still have our traditional Christmas roast lunch... nice and clean ... see you again next year... thank you Jo and Cynthia... Merry Christmas xx
